Thuraya plans for voice and data services offer flexible pricing packages for varying customer requirements through different postpaid and prepaid subscriptions. Thuraya’s smart satellite technology works with mobile satellite phones, antennas, wireless satellite hotspots, and portable satellite internet terminals to keep you connected when terrestrial networks are not accessible.
Thuraya SIM Card
Once you have a Thuraya satellite device, you need to purchase and activate a Thuraya SIM card for one of the several plans available depending on your usage requirements. You can opt for a postpaid or prepaid plan where prepaid does not have monthly service fees and best suited for short-term or seasonal use and postpaid is convenient for ongoing use.
Compatible Thuraya Devices
Thuraya devices like the Thuraya XT Pro Dual that caters for dual mode, will need both satellite and GSM SIM cards to access the relevant services. Currently Thuraya has about 360 GSM roaming partners worldwide in more than 160 countries.
Prepaid Plans
Thuraya prepaid plans are beneficial when you don’t want the commitment of a long-term contract. Activating your Thuraya prepaid SIM card enables you to choose a recharge amount so you can get up and running with Thuraya satellite communication services. Choose from the Prepaid SIM with 10 credits or the ECO Plan (also known as the NOVA Plan) that offers reduced rates in selected countries. SIM cards are valid for one year with the option to extend.
Postpaid Plans
Thuraya postpaid plans offer flat rates over the network’s coverage area. Postpaid has the convenience of paying at the end of the month. Costs include a once-off activation fee and access to satellite calls, SMS, GmPRS, and data/fax services, as well as roaming on GSM services with selected Thuraya partners. Several plans are available to choose from according to your communication needs.
Thuraya IP Plans
Thuraya IP terminals support voice and broadband IP data connectivity at speeds of up to 444kbps. Designed for different sectors over land, sea, and air, Thuraya delivers superior performance at lower costs.
Thuraya also has postpaid and prepaid plans for IP terminals where you can choose a plan for light-to-medium data use, or a plan for heavy data consumption. Prepaid lets you buy Gigabytes up front for your anticipated monthly use for:
